Your Ideas
(for Ages 16-18)

Go miniature golfing handcuffed to your date. He/she has to have his/her arms around you when it is your turn to hit (like he/she is teaching you how to play). - Jesse

My fraternity had a movie date and I took this girl I have a pretty big crush on. She and I have talked about how we both think a movie is a bad date idea because you don't really get to know each other. It worked out because we went to the worst movie ever and didn't actually watch it, but talked and made fun of the flick, having the time of our lives. Next time I take her out we are going to another bad movie we can find with the intention of having a good conversation/ making fun of the movie. - Kyle

Buy a 12 pack of soda and a cantaloupe. Set the cans up in a triangle and go cantaloupe bowling. - Jeni

Go to dollar store and take 5 dollars each. Neither of you see what the other one buys, return home, sit by the fire and explain why you bought each item. - Carrie

Pretend you are a barber, and give each other "the works" that good barbers usually offer (scalp massage, shampoo, rinse, dry, etc.) - Mike

A group of friends and I have started this monthly group date plan called the "Super Date." For the first one, we asked the guys by calling their moms and learning who their favorite super hero was when they were little. We bought cheap comic books from a comic store and taped a message to the front of each one telling them that their newest assignment was to attend the Super Date with a group of Super Girls. For the actual date, we played tag at a local park where the person who was "it" had to wear a hot pink super cape. It was a blast and so much fun that we've decided to continue it every month. - Jessica

On my last date we had five couples and each couple had to be tied together in some way (at the wrist or the ankle, etc.) and each individual person had a different disability that he/she picked out of a hat at the beginning of the date (blind, missing an arm, no fingers, etc.) . We had three couples making three pizza, learning to work together with their disabilities, and two couples making caramel apples. While we ate our food, we played a game and it was the funniest date ever! Not only that, it taught us to work together. - Railee

Get an old golf club you never use along with some cans of soda and take them to an empty parking lot or other open area. Go walk, talk, and finish your drinks and when you are done, find an target off in the distance. Then see who can reach the target in the fewest shots using the can and the club. - Chad

We began the day by recording a tape for our dates saying how excited we were for the date and how lucky we were to be dating somebody like them, what time we would pick them up, what to wear etc. then door bell ditched our dates leaving the tape, a princess crown with jewelry (from a dollar store) as well as a long stem rose. We picked them up and went to their favorite restaurant, in this case the Olive Garden, then went and saw the movie Princess Diaries (get it, princess jewelry and movie) the girls loved it. After the movie we drove up a canyon to an empty parking lot, turned up the radio and had our own little romantic private dance then laid down and looked at the millions of stars, an effect you can only get away from the city. Don't forget to dress up! - Blake

Make at least 2 pans of jello or pudding (different colors) and have a jello fight at the park. Wear grubbies that can get stained. It is best if the park's sprinklers are on, then you can wash off there. - Clayton

Make a pie! After slicing up apples together, Stand behind your date and place your arms around each side of her (like we did in grade school talent shows) and tell her that she cannot use her hands to finish the pie, but to explain to you what to do. She is the eyes and you are the hands. This tests your compatibility and can be a lot of fun! Take turns being the hands and watch a movie while you're waiting for the pie to bake. -Leigh

Dress up in Halloween costumes and go trick-or-treating.... do it in May or June. It will really confuse people, and you'll most likely get some treats! - Mindy

Get a piece of cardboard, a boom box, and a date, and go down to the street corner and break dance. - Dave

Have a picnic on a rooftop patio. Prepare a meal that he/she likes. - Spanky

Go the local railroad tracks and put down a bunch of pennies. Spend time talking or drinking hot chocolate while you wait for the train to pass. At the end of the night you will have penny souvenirs to remember the evening by. - Brett
