Ideas for Asking
(for Ages 22-24)

This girl I was wanting to ask to prom was really into photography. I bought a disposable camera and took pictures of words I wrote out on paper. "Will-You-Go-To-Prom-With-Me". Each word was a different exposure. I gave her $5 and the camera to develop the pictures.

Is there a special place you'd like to get him/her to secretly? Cut out letters from magazines, paste them together to form a secret message, and arrange for a friend to deliver the message for this anonymous rendezvous.

While at school, have a friend deliver a treasure map leading from his/her classroom to yours (the hardest path possible, with "X" marking where you are and a time to meet you). Wear a sign or a t-shirt with a big "X" on. Just ask him/her out or give him/her a bottle with gold chocolate coins with a note asking for a date.

Send a message attached to a Brillo pad--and offer to do his/her dinner dishes in exchange for a date.

Give a recording to you potential date with a note that says "Your mission should you decide to take it, is to find the coded message. This message will destruct after you have listened to it." Copy a ton of boring songs onto the tape and in the middle of it somewhere, ask him/her out. Make sure he/she has to listen to a lot of music before finding your message.

Go to the salvage yard and buy an old beat up steering wheel. Then get a Yugo emblem, you come up with the rest. Wheel Yugo...(will you go...)

Take a basket and fill it up with hamburger buns and attach a note that states: "May I "escart" your "buns" to the ___________ dance?"

Open a package of RITZ crackers, on the crackers in marker write a message, one word per cracker, asking for a "ritzy date".

Make a snowman and put it on his/her porch, write a note saying.. I'd melt if you went to the _______dance with me!

To ask someone to a dance, laminate the message "I'd melt if you would go with me to the dance" and then freeze it in a block of ice. Tell them to melt whatever you gave them, so when it's all melted, they will see your message.

Get a 5 gallon bucket, and fill it 1/2 way with water. Get two Rose Buds and put one of the rose buds in the water (let freeze) When it is frozen put in the rest of the water filling the bucket, then add the other Rose bud. At the top attach a note that is frozen in the block of ice, the note should read "Us two BUDS should get together and make our hearts MELT for the _______ dance." Let it freeze together. When this is all frozen take the bucket set it on the doorstep of the person you are going to ask, set a hammer on it and write the persons name on the bucket. Leave your name at the very bottom of the bucket.

Talk to one of your local movie theatres and see if they are willing to put some slides in the pre-movie advertising. Give them the message you want it to say (asking or answering). Take the person you are trying to ask to the movie and watch their reaction as they get asked out on the big screen.

Make a fortune cookie from a recipe online with a fortune that says something like "___, will you go to the dance with me?" Take them out for Chinese and ask the waiter to present it to your date at the end of dinner.

Decorate the guy's (or girls') room with balloons and streamers, and put little chocolate kisses everywhere. Then put a bag of kisses somewhere obvious, like on the pillow, attach a note to the bag that says, "Dump bag over head." Include a note which will fall out of the bag (place the note in the bag, so it falls out), which reads: "Now that I have kissed you from head to toe, will you go to the dance with me?"

The theme of my girls ask guys dance was "The Punk Rawk Show" and to ask my guy, I made a giant concert ticket that said "The Punk Rawk Show featuring You and Me, etc". I cut it up and hid it in pieces around his room. He had to put it together to see what it said.

Cut out circles of construction paper and purchase Hershey kisses. Leave the circles and kisses on the floor of the bedroom, car, or office of your intended date with a note that says, "Now that I've SPOTTED you and KISSED the ground you walk on, will you go with me to ___?"

Find a song [it would be better if you like it, or see if one of your favorite songs has the words in it. It would be better if it had a romantic/love theme/vibe.] That has these words in it: will you go out with me (a ? Is optional]. Type the lyrics out and put the song name and artist and your name/info on the bottom also. Then take a piece of red/pink construction paper. Put it on top of he lyrics and hold it up to light and mark where to cut around so you can see the words. After cutting the construction paper, place it over the lyrics and read it [If the words are random put numbers signaling which one to read first, etc. Then staple the top left corner and place in an envelope. Give it to him/her in anyway you like!
