(for Ages 16-18)
Take an airplane or helicopter ride around the city. Bring a camera to take pictures and make the memories twice as great! Check the yellow pages under airplanes rental or rides.
Go rock climbing or mountain climbing together. As long as the two of you are within 100 pounds of each other, you may be able to take turns climbing and belaying each other.
Get up early one morning and head for the mountains, a lake, the shore, or maybe the sand dunes. Ask your date to bring the ingredients for a delicious breakfast to be cooked over a campfire and pack a picnic lunch.
Clean an attic, basement or garage that hasn't been cleaned in a while. Grandparents' houses are perfect places for this.
During a heavy rainstorm, put on some old clothes and shoes and go hunting for puddles (in gutters, parking lots, grassy areas in parks, etc.). Have splash wars or jump from puddle to puddle. You could even stand on a sidewalk next to a big puddle that cars have to drive through. Pretend that the sudden wall of water was a surprise! If you are in the park, make sure you use the wet slide, which probably will have a big puddle at the bottom.
Go on a motorcycle picnic to your favorite sand dunes, beach, mountain area or park. Take a picnic to enjoy.
Go skydiving. First time skydivers can do a tandem jump with an experienced instructor.
Get your group together and go to a park or open field. Everyone in the group needs to wear a white T-shirt and be armed with a squirt gun (not a "Super Soaker"). But instead of water, these guns will be filled with either red or blue dye (food coloring can usually do the trick)! The object of the game is to shoot the other team's players before they shoot you. However, a team member cannot "die" unless he or she has the other teams dye on the front and back of their shirts (the person is then out). The team with the last person alive wins. For a rematch, simply trade guns to play again.
Have a whipped topping fight. Each person gets one can. Make sure you have grubby clothes.
Attend an auction together. Look in the paper for events.
You could go trail riding on a four-wheeler. Afterwards, eat dinner, then relax while listening to music.
Invite yourself to the wedding reception of someone you don't know. Don't be surprised if they remember you.
Join a scuba diving club on an organized dive.
Go mountain climbing, but be sure you have the necessary gear to ensure a safe date.
Go on a hot-air balloon ride. Hot-air balloon facilities and operators can be found all over the country. Depending on the time of day you go, plan a picnic, light breakfast or dinner (you may want to have enough for the operator too). Don't forget to take some pictures of the breathtaking views.
